Showing You Meet the Criteria
If you are considering applying for support from the Major Events Development Fund, review your major event against the following points. You'll need to show us that your event will result in at least some of the benefits listed under the criteria.
Environmental Sustainability is a key consideration for all funding application. Please review the Landcare report on our Publications page to see how your event can improve its environmental sustainability practices.
Economic Criteria
We are looking for events that deliver a range of benefits from contributing to regional development to generating tourist opportunities.
Social & Cultural Criteria
Events need to promote high achievement of New Zealanders and give New Zealanders the opportunity to experience world-class events.
International Exposure Criteria
Your application must demonstrate that your event will enhance international media exposure.
