Is My Event Eligible for Funding?
To be eligible for support funds from the Major Events Development Fund, events must meet criteria set out on the Major Events National Strategy.
Briefly, the strategy provides for funding support to events that are of national significance, that build economic wealth and social connections, and that result in international media exposure in key international markets.
Who Can Apply?
Anyone organising a major event can apply for support from New Zealand Major Events. However, support funding can only be paid to a GST registered business entity. This includes companies, trusts and incorporated societies.
