Fast5 Netball World Series 2014

The Government, through the Major Events Development Fund, has invested $600,000 in the Fast5 Netball World Series from 2012 to 2014. Fast5 is a high-scoring and fast-paced version of the traditional netball game played by the world’s top six netballing nations.

The Fast5’s unique format delivers an enticing and thrilling spectacle which allows each team involved in the tournament an equal chance of winning.

The purpose of this funding is to enable the event to organise, host and grow the Fast5 and by extension, showcase New Zealand to an international audience. In addition, to further strengthen the relationship Netball New Zealand has with the International Netball Federation (INF).

Fast5 2014 is scheduled to take place between the 8 – 9 November at the Vector Arena in Auckland.
